Description This is an entry for 's Kitty-cat contest deadline August 31st.

These are a few photos of my cats, and Two-Tone displaying Heterochromia. Heterochromia is more common in dogs, cats, and horses. However, it does occur in humans and can vairy in degree from inclusions within the same iris or just two totally different colored irises. It's most comon in white cats, but cats with white patches can also display the gene combinations for the trait.

Sometimes, if white cats display the gene combination they will be deaf usually on the side of the blue eye. White cats with blue eyes can be, but are not always deaf because of the allele combinations deafness is a resulting mutation in the DNA strand.

The top one is of Two-Tone on the table. She was born with one blue eye and one greenish orange eye. Mom is a Siamese mix and dad is a long hair white and grey tabby. The first picture blelow the top one on the left is of Theodore and Two-Tone. As you can tell, they are siblings. The bottom right picture is that of Two-Tone and the boys. Clockwise from the left you have Mojazz, Jax, Two-Tone, and Theodore.
