Photographing animals means mostly that two thirds of the pictures go to the bin. Pictures like this come around accidentally with waiting, much waiting

sounds familiar. I dont photograph as much as i used to, but my partner is a good photographer, and spends long periods of time hanging, or crouched under things, or poised somewhere, waiting for that moment where the perfect photo can be caught. i always thought the beautiful thing about drawing though is that you can create that moment, instead of waiting to see if it happens ... so i stick with drawing now
