Kinda a revamped version of: fav.me/d2xux2sI didn't really get much time to even doodle a whole lot while I was gone(I hope to have a lengthy journal posted about that later), so one of the first things I did when waking up yesterday was run SAI. It felt awesome.
What I liked best about this picture was the decision to give her a delighted expression. Otherwise I'm still experimenting a little bit with style, so I'm not entirely sure what else I really like or don't like at this moment. I guess one of the major concerns I have is that the children in my "normal" style look a little bit like the adults in my more cartoonish style.

Iβm probably a lot more flattered than I should be xD but Iβm really not too possessive over visual style/what have you. My characters and styles constantly change over time, so I donβt really bother getting annoyed (Unless their concept/total character is blatantly copied, then I might get a little snippy).
Anyhoo, donβt worry about taking it down, Iβd actually like to favorite it xD itβs supercute and you did a fine job!

As usual dear, I love your work. Her expression gives eye movement, there is unity and interest and very good contrast. I know there is no light inside the tree, but I'm wondering if she would be at all highlighted by the outside, though that's a minor thought - your style is very solid and typically matte coloring. Either way I think this piece is adorable.

I think you're very right in bringing up the topic of light. Even though the style I currently work with might not make it as huge a necessity as others, I always thought lights and shadows were vital for mood and emphasis. With that, I will definitely find a way to make it work more in the future.

^__^ I try to do as much as I can, especially for your work which I adore so much. I really love your subject matter and the way you portray things in that slightly Gothic chaotic manner. Your characters are overflowing with their own individualism and their expressions are as various as real human faces. There's no reason I shouldn't enjoy what you do fully ^_^ I really cant wait to see what you do next. (And no I'm not sucking up. I just love the kinda Dark Alice in Wonderland type things you do <3)
