It was the scenes of Kira being drained and the the little Podling being drained that made me not want to watch the Dark Crystal. I've seen the film, but were it not for those two sequences, I would feel less disturbed by the content. I never understood why neither of them would just shut their eyes tightly. As for the consequences, death would be preferred, better to die than to live as a mindless slave. Thank goodness Kira called to the animals to help, along with Jen's telepathy to resist.

well so far they havent tried to rush it out they orignaly wanted it out for 2008 but now its pusehd to 2011 because they have discussions going on.. besides Jim Hensons daughter and son are going to be the cheif people on the project and they worked on a few things in their life with him. ;o

I've never seen the movie, mostly cause' the puppets freak me out. Whenever I see the cover, it scares me. Jim Henson, WRY. I'll watch the Muppets and Sesame Street and Bear In The Big Blue House, but I'm scared to watch The Dark Crystal.
