drawings and story from my sketchbook. figures are cut out from a leather bound sixty-something year old bible i got at a thrift store, from the index section. bibles make better sketchbooks than reading materials.we are all gods, isn't it sad?

Really, when it all comes down to it, nobody really knows what's out there in the great cosmose. I could be a careing god, an uncarring god, a bunch of space dust or a bunch of space aliens who use us for amusement much like a giant spherical ant farm. Have your own opinion about the status of the cosmose but the only people who really anger me are the people who absolutly KNOW whats out there whether they be religious or atheist, nobody really knows for sure what awaits us in the great beyond and anybody who acts like they do is just kidding themselves. I for one am of the opinion that there could be a god and the existance of such holy books on earth such as the Bible, the Lotus Sutra, the Koran, and the Pastafarian handbook act as simply a piece of evidence that past generations had their panties worked up into a bunch about something or other and the shere volume of writings that exist lead one to believe that there maybe something to it. But I'm more than willing to accept the notion that there isn't a god and there are things that we, as mear humans, will never comprehend in our life times. But really, we'll never know until the end of the line.

yesss it has more meaning because it is drawn directly on bible pages. when i was little my parents said it was good to kiss the bible if you dropped it. so doing the complete opposite fills me with happiness.
thank yooouuu i hope to do a more elaborate version of this soon, this one was just to get the concept down, ive been feeling very inspired

For some reason my favourite part is the tiny little people on fire at the bottom.

I love mixed media art like this, there's so much more you can do when you don't limit yourself to a single medium.
extra awesome points for the age of the bible used, so much more meaningful than chopping pages out of a fresh crisp one that never had a chance to be a religious symbol before it was art.

If he really did truly love us, he shouldn't be able just to watch everyone suffer like this. no truly loving person is capable of doing that if they know they can stop it.
