I swear to god I will go into full college mode by tomorrowSo I had a dream the other night about a Ruby/Sapphire remake (which must happen eventually). I was surprised that in the dream the heroine was wearing a different outfit... I mean it was technically a remake but I wasn't expecting my subconscious to go so far as to design new outfits. So when I woke up I knew I had to try to draw the May from my dream. I think this is basically what she looked like. (Lol sorry guys Brendan never showed up)
EDIT: ditched the background after all and fixed some minor things--thanks ~HakuryuMyuu for helping me

This gives me a breath of awesomeness. I love this redesign very much. The style has been refurbished to incorporate elements of black and white while still retaining its sleek, spandex-like appearance. This is something I'd be quite happy with in a Ruby and Sapphire remake. Perhaps maybe you could make a Sapphire version by changing her clothes from red to blue...

Remember, though, that in the old games, both of them wore red even if you were playing Sapphire xD But that's an interesting thought; maybe I'll play around with it sometime!

And it would be so awesome if those were the names for their remakes and more winnage if May's new clothes were these.

I agree, that would be awesome! :'D It took me ages to come up with names for both of them that went well together, tho. Sometimes one would sound good (like Seafloor Sapphire or TectonicRuby) but I couldn't find a good way to make the other name match :/

Hm, everything seems..shorter in the "remake". On the other hand, the clothing has been getting shorter over the generations.

Or I can't figure out where to put the end of things, or Sugimori used to fail at proportions and therefore my reference was off slightly, or I just fail at proportions. Any one of those is equally plausible
Actually now that you mention it gragargh it does look a bit off. ffffff I'll go fix it and ditch the background while I'm at it lol (M-meant it to be a bit longer than it became; how did I not notice that....?)
