Description I made this for a contest *imaginism posted, but my internet went down in the interim and it wasn't submitted.
The contest subject was "nightmare".

impressions and ideas appreciated.

probably should have looked at some references before I was 4/5 done, but its more fun that way.

Great atmosphere on this one! Beautiful work on the horses! I like the green/yellow, nice call.

I will my nightmares were more like this and less about school!

I'm not sure what's been going on lately, but my girlfriend and our room mate have all been having anxiety dreams like crazy the last few weeks. I keep thinking I'm at school for some reason. But at least our room mate's actually has good ones that are all apocalyptic and full of monsters and things...

When most people think nightmare, they usually think of scary dark places, blood... or something embarrassing. I like the direction you took incorperating the mythical Night Mare. It may looks a bit sketchy or fuzzy, but I think that actually adds to the ambience. I also like the decision to shade dominantly with an ugly (well I don't like the colour personally) yellow-green colour.
