Been a while since I've uploaded some Aqua art! Thought it was about time

I actually started this picture a good while ago (sometime in 2012). I was like 40% done with it when I got stuck and stopped working on it.
I couldn't figure out what colors to use and how I should color. It got really frustrating :/
But in April I was looking through my folders and I came across this, opened it, and just started working on it again. Magically, the colors I chose looked ok and I knew what brushes to use @ u @

idk if all I needed was a little break from it or if I had improved. I'm really glad I didn't delete it when I gave up on it. I really like the pose and background I had in mind for it And it came out almost exactly like I wanted it to! yeah~
