Description
There was a duck who nested in my grandfather's back yard. She was so sure that we wouldn't hurt her that she never moved from her nest when we came to visit. That or maybe she was afraid; I'm not sure. Well, there were eight little eggs the color of milk and grass and seven little shells where left. And one little egg, that never hatched.

The mother duck had walked all the other little babies to the creek near by, but that one little egg was left behind. Maybe it didn't hatch in time and died. Or maybe it was alive and died because it was left behind. I'm not sure, and truth be told, I'm not sure I want to know.
