Captain Jason Shepard and his highly skilled crew went with Dr. Mason Reed's plan and began on their first of many missions to fight the New World Order in space. The Jägermeister, initially, was used as a mobile base of operations for the Annointed Avengers anarchists to give the panglobal government a black eye. Now, it was the good side of humanity's fighting chance at defeating the greatest foe in history. This ship's level of advancement was unrivaled and unparalleled. With its white hole force field, it could get blasted by a supernova five meters away and suffer zero damage, and with its meta-drive, it could travel anywhere in the galaxy at roughly 10,000c. Mason wasn't surprised when he found out that their Anubis ASI already mastered the Theory of Everything. He discovered this when he received intel from an Annointed Avengers spy who told him that they had begun increasing their resources into atomic printing metamaterials for space travel and defense applications.

The first phase of Mason Reed's plan was to travel to Proxima Colony One before the NSS Daedalus did. Once there, Mason would give the colonists the necessary schematics to build quantum starships so they could make their own space fleet to defend their new homeworld and perhaps even launch a counterattack to Sol. This plan, however, came with risks. To get to Proxima b before the NSS Daedalus, the Jägermeister would have to use its metadrive which would leave a wormhole signature behind. This would immediately alert the rest of the New World Order that someone is also planning to get there. As to how get there without leaving a drive signature and without using the ship's kinetic flight system, Mason wasn't sure.

When tracking the NSS Daedalus, the Jägermeister picked up something on its gradar and then its quantum radar. Jason Shepard ordered GAIA to deploy the ship's hardpoints and only retract them for the white hole force field if this bogey was too powerful. Upon observing this bogey, Jason and his crew were shocked. It was a disc shaped craft with a dome in the center much like the stereotypical alien flying saucer. Its drive signature didn't match anything of the Star Navy's ships and was clearly more advanced than even the Jägermeister since it was perfectly smooth with no rivets. This was an alien spacecraft! The craft did not answer the ship's hails but instead sent messages to the ship's computer GAIA. Mason interpreted this as the aliens finding it easier to get more information across to them via computer-to-computer communication rather than talking in person.

GAIA sent the craft everything it knew about humanity similarly to the role of the Voyager probe. The craft communicated back that it already knew everything about mankind as its kind has been observing them for thousands of years and knew things about mankind that they didn't even know. GAIA explained that the craft was from an alien race more primitive than the two oldest civilizations in the Universe called "the Ascendants" and their rivals called "the Planners". They explained that they saw mankind as a resilient but suffering species that was on the cusp of maturity into the cosmos. Other races, on the other hand, had more mixed views of mankind mainly due to the destruction of Earth. They told GAIA that Mason's mastery of true interstellar travel gave them the green light to make first contact by the rules of the Ascendants. But since mankind was still engaged in its ultimate conflict, there was still a ways to go before humanity could become a political member of the galactic community.

This alien craft explained that they didn't want to reveal themselves in their true biological forms to humanity just yet because of these limiting rules since there were higher powers at play. The Ascendants and the Planners were basically the referees of the cosmos. However, since they were open to make limited first contact, they were willing to lend a hand to the crew of the Jägermeister in a will of good gesture. Their craft will mask their drive signature to the New World Order's Weber Bar satellites while the Jägermeister made its way to Proxima b in a photon wormhole. Of course, Mason was suspicious of them as they could be manipulating them in ways they didn't realize. It was almost as if they were telling Jason's crew everything we wanted to hear. Jason and his crew agreed as they saw no other way to get there. Mason couldn't help but notice that their ship was a basically squashed version of the Jägermeister as if it had similar design features. If this was true, it meant that their craft traveled bottom-to-top and not side-to-side.
