Description "And all the stars that shine in southern skies
Had been admired by none but savage eyes"
- John Dryden's Ode to Doctor Charleton

So, one might wonder what that quote and the title have to do with Gerard Way, well, it has to do with the page he happens to be on. By his head is that start of the section of the book devoted to the constellation Apus, the bird of paradise. I thought it was a fitting place to stick him because his hair is all vibrant and stuff like those crazy birds. And the quote is cut off my his head and arm on the page and I found it fitting.

The word "shine" came to me while I was working on it and while I was trying to figure out how to write it, I got the idea for the phrase "do what makes you shine" and decided it was just something that clicked with Gerard and his lovely antics.

And thanks for all the love! You guys make me feel so special

Ray is next and I have him finished, I just need to figure out what else I want to do with the page he's on...

aww thanks and yeah, I just drew it right in the book. I've had a bunch of people I showed it to at school give me weird looks about it, but I think it adds a cool affect

old books and dictionaries look the best. my school library was giving away some and i grabbed a couple to make purses out of and i decided to save one from that fight and suffer the wrath of my artistic boredom
