I know everyone does their own Sailor Scouts, and Disney scouts are old news, but I so wanted my own turn at drawing them.So here, Sailor Esmeralda.
I haven't drawn anything in weeks because I've been sick. This totally cheers me up.

Notre Dame stuff makes me feel better. I find it really hard to pity myself when I'm in a warm bed, when I think of poor Esmeralda in a dark, wet cell, just waiting to be hung... having no effing clue as to what's going on. Then it's even harder to pity myself when she says brave things like 'in one hour I'll be fine' from the musical

Musical!Frollo has bled into my writings lately. I love the way he moves, it's almost underacting, but the anguish flows off him in almost palpable waves. Kudos.
Esme in the musical is as sweet as she is naive, and therein lies her strength and ultimately her downfall.
I read a story somewhere where she adopted a more "Carmen" like approach to things ( or as the writer herself said: She grew a pair) and where she wound up gaining the upper hand on Frollo. Works wonders.
I'm slowly working my way through all the HoND movie versions, BTW. I saw the Richard Harris/ Selma Hayek version last week. Hated it intensely. And I'm a Selma Hayek fan!
