strangely, it reminds me of "The Lady of Shalot" by Lord Tennyson.. it was the topic of my english poetry seminar project. absolutely loved it, and this is perfect for it.. well done.

You're right.. although she was on a boat rather than a slab of rock. I can't remember if I did this prior to or after reading the poem and seeing the John William Waterhouse painting so I can't say if it was an influence or not. But it wasn't a very conscious one at any rate.

Thats nice. The picture has such a peaceful, serene atmosphere to it.......it makes me want to fall asleep.......can't .....keep....eyes....open......zzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Thanks. I think I like the lilies best, too.. ironically, they were the easiest and quickest to do.

Sigh...this is so beautiful and peaceful. The woman looks slightly elvish, in a way that I can't really place. I think it might have something to do with the look of grace about her.

Also, again with the colouring! You're too good. I'd hate you if I didn't love you so much. *shakes fist*
