La had been orphaned at a very you age. Her village had been attacked by the River people again but this time they thought they left no one alive. La had hid in the woods during the attack and soon went deeper into the forest until she was lost. The next day she was found by Old Willa, the witch of the western woods. In a rare display of kindness she took La in and trained her in the ways of Life and Death magic. After several years La became known as a force to be reckoned with and it wouldn't be long until she made a visit to the River peoples village for pay back.
