He's currently trying to kill the Mishima family in Tekken 7, mostly Heihachi Mishima.

Well around 20 years ago in the Tekken Universe, Heihachi's own wife Kazumi Mishima saw that her husband was a completely insane and knew he would ruin the world so she decided to try to take him out then and if she wasn't successful ( which she wasn't) Akuma would. Akuma promised he would at a later date.
