Isn`t camera. Plugin DOF Pro used Z-depth map (grayscale map of distance). You choose focusing place manuality.
It`s very easy to use.
By Poser i get this map automaticly. By DAZ Stydio i am sure there is a similar feature (if you need i can ask my friends about DAZ).
Render whith DOF takes much time thats why i use postwork by Photoshop.

I use a camera to create a z-depth map, so it sounds very similar to your plugin. I render twice, once with one camera and then with a regular camera and then merge both in Photoshop, where I can tweak the effect.
