I'm missing my lemon balm - it was destroyed by the "urban regeneration" programme. They managed to completely destroy 80% of my garden with cement dust and lime I usually let it grow pretty wild for the sake of the bugs. A few bulbs seem to be sprouting but none of my lotion and potion plants have survived. Shall have to replant it all, ideally with cuttings from the wild.

To be fair, I needed some of the work they did - repointing the bay window, repainting the stonework and I only paid 20%. Totally ruined my soil though. It's been a year now, so hopefully I can move my bay tree back and get my mini wilderness back up to strength

Get a good compost or manure and dig that in. Pity you didn't
do it late autumn as the soil would now be nice & sweet. Oh well

They mulched over the entire surface and I can't remove it, by contract, for another 2 years. I said I didn't want mulch and I don't think I paid for it, so I might remove it anyway and see if they try to challenge me!
