I honestly LOVE doing character variation may it be humanoid facial structures, body anatomy, etc. So I find it very important that I learn different animal anatomy's as well!
So I tried to capture that in her anatomy [also I love thumbs on feet?? Like their the best]. I think I mentioned this already, but I've never owned an oppossom character, so it's really fun for me when I get to draw them for YCH's and commissions. I've also owned a rat before so that's where some of the anatomy inspiration came from. u v u
I found the hardest thing for me was I have a hard time with monochromatic esc designs [since I find myself wanting to make the colors pop in designs], so I did the color overlay. I couldn't resist doing the lil ghosts, I love doing interesting "backgrounds" for these that match the characters. I try my best to blend my signature in, in a way that's both nice to see, and hard to erase.
GOOD I need to draw more centaurs, cause they are the best. I love centaurs so much!

I can completely agree! I've only ever owned one rat, but she was a sweetie [though she didn't like to be handled much].
No no I didn't mean that in a bad way! I have semi-monochromatic characters myself, I just find them a bit more of a challenge for me [which is a good thing].
