Truncheon is a 56 year old earth pony stallion who lives in Manehattan, and is a well regarded veteran police officer, with the rank of Sergeant. Alongside his beloved wife, he owns a large and well-appointed detached house in the Manehattan suburbs.

Physically, he is still in generally good health and fitness, despite his advancing age and the onset of mild arthritis. He remains tall and strong for now. His arthritis is in the early stages at present, though it will only grow in severity in future. As a result, he is almost constantly in some level of discomfort, but he has an almost legendary tolerance for pain.

He has many scars from his policing career, many of which lie underneath his coat, but a few are visible through it. Notably, during the capture of a griffon fugitive, he was slashed across the left side of his face with the griffon’s talons, nearly losing his eye in the process. Despite the horrific injury, he carried on fighting the griffon and eventually got her cuffed. He did not seek medical assistance until after he had hauled the griffon back to the Precinct, and gotten her booked in.

This is just one example of many events of this nature that he has experienced, and one of many stories that get told to awestruck recruits in Manehattan’s Police Academy. Almost always embellished to some degree, but always with a kernel of truth.

Truncheon is an old-school Police officer, and has a wealth of experience to draw from. There is not much that he hasn’t seen or done in the line of duty, and he has become somewhat cynical over the years- something that happens to many police officers over their careers. He is still friendly and caring in general, and does his best to be optimistic.

However, despite all that he has been through, he is still a loving husband to his wife, Fireball; and a doting father to his daughters, Frazzle and Dreamcatcher. He loves his family dearly, and would do absolutely anything for them within reason. At home, he enjoys reading, gardening, DIY, and woodworking.

Obviously, he is heterosexual, and he is utterly faithful to Fireball. He would never consider any other mare, and only has eyes for his beloved wife. Truncheon and Fireball are still very much sexually active, and deeply in love with each other. Just as well that they live in a detached house...

Truncheon, above all, exemplifies what it is to be a police officer, and despite everything that he has experienced over his long career of policing, he is looking forward to the future with a healthy dose of optimism and hope.
