Description
Lonely cargo ship, Amber, heading to its destination. There was only ocean and sky, as far as eye can see, at least for few more hours. Sun was hidden most of time all day because of lazy clouds, which the wind tried to push forward to elsewhere.
Only effort it gave, was the great waves swaying the ship. But when Sun was able to peek from behind the clouds once in awhile, it gave its radiating light to the billowy greenish blue ocean, making it shine in its glory.
As salty fresh air hits your lungs, it would clear your head. Your eyes can just rest while looking sedative view of high sea.
You feel dank sensation on skin, hear whistling wind and sounds of roaming waves...."All that flowing to your mind." Charles stated while watching to horizon from Amber's deck.
Charles was on his break and leaning his elbows on cargo ship's railing. He had meal earlier, but couldn't eat much.
He was too excited and nervous to do so. After eating Charles just couldn't settle down in his cabin, watch movie, or to do anything else to calm down. So from experience, Charles decided to go to Amber's deck.
"I am here again for chin-wag." He said to the ocean while his hand was reaching to his pocket to get chewing gum.
"Just little talk before work, so I don't lose my marbles. Would you be ace and throw storm like right now?
It doesn't need to be like 'That One' from Indian ocean, but still nice one. That way I would have something else to think and wouldn't have collywobbles right now." Charles continue as he started to chew a gum. He tried to calm himself and get ready for new place, new dock. Well, kinda new. Its have been many years since Charles visited that city's harbor last time, so it was feeling like new place again. He didn't talk about visiting cities, he prefer to talk about visiting docks, harbors.
They were one those few places on the world where he could hangout safely and secretly, besides the cargo ship Amber.
So new place made Charles feel excited, but nervous. He knew that he needs to stay out of humans sight.
There was always higher risk at new place to be seen by humans, when you don't know place very well.
So being alert wasn't bad at all. It was just bothersome sometimes. "How many years its has been? How much its had changed since then?" Charles wondered and looked down to the water. "I was too young to wander around docks all by myself back then.
Such little brat I was." He chuckled at to his memories. "But there was almost always someone ready to watch after me when I wanted to look around docks." Charles continued. "Of course all this happened at nighttime. But it didn't bother me at all.
I would be ungrateful prat to say otherwise....Have to say that I am one lucky turtle to have this kind of lifestyle." Charles smiled warmly. His mood was getting better, relaxed. He felt urge to stretch.
So he closed his eyes and took deep inhale by nose and started to stretch his limbs. While exhaling by mouth, Charles made bubble with gum. He opened his eyes when bubble slumped and Charles took it back to his mouth and continued to chew it.
Charles repeated this action few more times while stretching.
It still needed one more gum and few more sentence to get Charles satisfied. By then, most of tension was gone and hunger was back. "hmm...I feel little peckish. Need to murder some sandwich before going back to the work." He pondered to himself.
He turned around and started to walk inside to the ship. But before entering in, Charles gave last glance to the ocean. Clouds were now everywhere making view look gloomy. Wind didn't bother to chase clouds anymore and instead it made some tall greyish waves here and there. In couple hours murky afternoon would turn to night, and the Amber would be in harbor.
This awareness didn't make Charles feel anymore troubled. He was now only excited. "Cheers for listening my mumbles again, mate. I really appreciate that." With these words Charles walked inside to the ship with a calmed mind.
