An art trade with ~Bayy . I told her I want an art trade! And I want to draw her bunny boy! And she must choose which one of my chars she could draw in return!!I was smrt and used this as a school assignment too, subject: water color. : D I couldn't make her scream in the critique when this unexpectedly came up, though...sigh.
He's saying "Let's do like bunnies do"....it's harder to phrase what I wanted in Finnish, so it was left more open. Comments of pooing a lot were raised. v_v

But this is very nicely done. You inked it with a brush? I really like how the hotpants turned out. The silky fabric looks very realistic

Hehe, thank you. : D I actually used a brushpen, that's like a marker with an actual brush for a tip...not quite like a real brush, but very handy and no need to play with ink bottles.

Oooh, I've seen someone use one of those before. I'm jealous forever that they don't sell brush pens around here :< They do look like the ideal tool for inking, especially for cartoonists. The lines are always so expressive *_*

Actual brushes are better I think! It's just that it's easier to carry a brushpen... : D If you can work at a table, I'd go with a brush and a bottle of india ink.

Hmm... what brush, exactly? Natural or synthetic hairs, and what shape? I have one brush that I normally use for watercolour, and I love to paint with it, but it's complete crap when it comes to inking.

I'm not really an expert on the matter and I haven't tried them out that much, but they say that the super expensive sable hair brushes are the best...thing is, I can't bear to use one with ink out of fear of ruining it... XD; So I just use synthetic hairs. About shape....I guess they're just the usual, the most common kind of sharp-tipped brush...? Works fine for both ink and water color, to me at least.... *.* I use size 4, but my friend ~Hanna-Pirita prefers 6. Till now, I have no complaints about synthetic fibre...apparently it's just shorter-lived.
