An only child with only a single father, Lyra grew up relentlessly spoiled. While good of heart she is incredibly naive to the world around her. This includes loss, until a tragic accident leaves Lyra without her beloved father any longer. Due to his rank within the Shardbound Empire, Lyra is betrothed to Emperor Diamante's own nephew, General Heliodor. While she awaits his return from protecting the Empire from Silverfang and dangerous marauding rogues, Lyra is put into the care of Lady Talaith of Auroramane pride. She is expected to learn everything there is to being a proper Shardbound Lady from Talaith and despite the older lioness' general shrewdness, the two are very close. Besides Talaith and her niece, Ara, Lyra is the only lioness not expected nor required to work as a Shepard, causing the other lions in the pride to keep a wide berth from the privileged noble. The only one to bridge that gap is the equally estranged Maia whose own brother has chosen his co-workers over kin. The two are rarely seen apart.
