The finished versions of the cards from: raax-theicewarrior.deviantart.β¦Now including the card designs for Russia, Germany, England and Austria.
You'll probably have to download it if you want to look at the ones on the other sides.
Had a lot fun doing these but I'm not sure I ever want to draw anything JRPG again. So many random detaily bits and costume parts that don't make sense. But very pretty and fun to draw none the less. And I'll hiopefully finish the rest of the pics at some other point.
I'm not sure my version of Russia really fits the original designs. Russia's drawn very slim in the chess designs, mine is more big and imposing. (Also China, why are you wearing a chicken on your head?)
Also the kanji on Japan's cards comes from Japanese chess, known as shogi. The kanji is for Bishop, Rook and Knight respectively.

Whoa, where do I start? I have so many superlatives to say.
I love how you did the lettering of each of the character's position, like Yao has this 'Chinese feel' of the letter Q. Also, the costume designs look neat, especially the details.Β Arthur's armor has got to be my favorite on the red team, and Feliciano on the blue team.

Those two are fun to draw (with Arthur it's all about the helmet; those insanely massive horns and that dragon head helmet that looks like it's trying to eat him). I like Feliciano, he just has such a weird hat.

They're looking really good. 
And I think it looks interesting the way you did them, you know not just mirror the images (altough looking at the blue ones almost resulted in my twisted neck lol), but paint the blue ones and red ones on one card.

You could have mirrored the picture, though, and included the upside-down version. Would have made it easier to appreciate the blue designs.
