The blue cast to this image really depicts winter. It has a cold nature to it.... no pun intended. When I look at this image I have a hard time determining what was the intent of the photographer. Specifically, what do you want a person to see when they look at the image. If it is the part that is in focus here, then I say go with a shorter depth of field (open the aperture from f/6.3 to the widest you can get a f/1.4 would be great, but zoom lens rarely have that). If you were shooting for the entire image to be of interest I'd have gone for the smallest aperture possible. As it stands, it is somewhere in the middle. The post work in getting the colors is nice. I maybe would brighten the mid tones a bit, but keep the high lights stable and the blacks. in photoshop the levels tool is perfect for that.

This is a great photo. Well composed, brilliant use of color and focus.

MY only suggestion is, next time, try setting a lower ISO; you'll get less noise in your final picture that way (though your shutter speed will be slower to compensate). Otherwise, it looks great
