Description Who is the mysterious lady in the pink dress? None other than The Flash who apparently decided his female disguise was not complete without high heels.
In this scene from Justice league Adventures #17 he is the only male from the league still un-controlled by the evil Aresia. So while Wonder Women and Hawkgirl take on the boys directly, he will infiltrate the military base Aresia has taken over.

Yeah it doesn't really make that much sense to me either, but ya gotta admit, he does have the legs to pull off a mini dress look.

His figure is awfully feminine here, even though it's a disguise. Is there some sort of magic involved?Β

No magic, but likely a bra and maybe a girdle.

And likely only slightly less painful for him than the heels.Β

Hah.

Wishing very much to find the scene where he gets the hang of makeup and hair.
I suppose that Jesse Quick never made it into Justice League Adventures, because that would have made this entire plotline pointless. Still, an actual female speedster's opinion on footwear might have been valuable.
Thanks for sharing this gem!

Yeah but I can remember a time when EVERY superheroine went into battle in 5 inch spike heels (and usually a very short skirt too.)Β

You'd also thing he'd know enough to listen to the girls when they said wear flats.

"But it makes my legs look so good!" Wally. No wonder Wally has been through so many girlfriends in the Titans. WonderGirl-Raven-Magenta-Jinx-Linda Park I guess Linda either successfully put a stop to it or is accepting.

Or else that's where he got the dress and stuff from.

Does it disturb Linda that thin little Wally can wear her clothes XD

I'm sure Wally hopes she never finds out.
(especially about him borrowing pantyhose and a girdle.)

Hey the ladies did warn him.
Fortunately he does have the legs to pull off a mini look.
And maybe there were just no flats that went with the dress.

Well, this is irony. Why didn't anyone make a joke about this sooner?

I think the girls kept the info quiet so they can make fun of Flash's speed in high heels and pantyhose. (He does mention having a run in his stocking on another page.)

No, I mean why didn't I hear of this before? I've been up and down TV tropes and beyond, and not one mention of this until now.

Now I wanna read the whole comic. Time to go digging again. Sorry for your wasted time with me.

Ah for the gold & silver age of comics where EVERY superheroine went into battle wearing 5 inch stiletto heels.

Well it is the Justice league based on the animated series, that was considered a kids comic.

i love comic s they are like time capsules, i doubt plots like this would fly now with all the money minded people who control the industry.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Rabbette In reply to knightmonx [2013-03-11 21:57:22 +0000 UTC]

Well the animated version of Justice league did have some silly plotlines that were still well done. Ever see B'wana Beast chasing Wonder Woman who had been turned into a pig?

knightmonx In reply to Rabbette [2013-03-12 03:22:39 +0000 UTC]

Oh yea I remember that one. Weren't they were turned into children in one too. But that show was abruptly canceled most likely because of the writers. Just like the PPG show was canceled abruptly because the Gnomey episode...

Rabbette In reply to knightmonx [2013-03-13 21:59:36 +0000 UTC]

No, it's usually the syndication rule. Once you have 2 years worth of shows you have enough to syndicate them and therefore can make money off them.
Disney was famous for doing this on their old Disney Afternoon shows like Rescue Rangers and Talespin both of which were still very popular when they were cancelled.

Quite possible. The comics I post are usually just from my collection showing some silliness or at least a crossdressing bit that is kinda funny.
Always possible someone posted it before.

BTW, I like the work in your gallery, nice toons especially.
