- 1300cc twin-cam engine
- Sleek Bertone-designed body
THE APPEAL
With its beautiful lines designed by Bertoné, the GT Junior has always remained a favourite among those who appreciate mid-century Italian stylishness. This 1300 comes fitted with a busy little twin-cam engine which provides rorty performance.
This particular car is located in southwestern France but remains registered in Belgium, with its owner having relocated from there in 2007. The car was driven across France without issue but has sadly seen little use since.
It is now presented as a project which will require recommissioning before use on the road again. It’ll be sure to provide an interesting project for whoever fancies returning this fantastic little Alfa to the road once again.
THE HISTORY AND PAPERWORK
- First registered 11th September 1974
- Purchased by the vendor in 2000
- Belgian Certificat d’Immatriculation
- The car was previously registered in Belgium, but is located in France and is not currently being used on the road
- Comes with original owner’s manual
- FFVE Attestation certificate
- Original service booklet
- Reportedly the car hasn’t left the vendor’s garage since 2007
THE INTERIOR
- The interior remains complete, despite the car’s long term storage
- The only items reported missing are the interior courtesy light lenses
- Vinyl seat covers not original to the car and look a little loose
- The wooden trim has also reportedly been replaced at some point
- The carpet is said to be original and remains in good condition
- Dashboard plastics said to be in good condition
- Wooden rimmed deep-dish steering wheel
- There is a good layer of dust throughout
THE EXTERIOR
- Sleek coupé styling by Bertoné
- The body looks to be well presented with good shut lines
- The red paint is a little dull
- The vendor tells us that they have previously repaired some corrosion patches, including the bottoms of the doors, the rear wheel arches and below the rear windscreen, with the largest hole found being no bigger than a 1 Euro coin and most being only a few millimetres
- There are now reportedly no blisters to be found in the bodywork
- The underside is treated with stone chip
- Some of the chrome trim pieces are not fitted but will come with the car
- The front grille is a little bent
- Headlamp bezels and wing mirrors are pitted
- The car runs on a set of steel wheels
THE MECHANICS
- 1300cc four-cylinder twin-cam engine
- The vendor informs us that the car has not been started often since it was last used in 2007
- The only reported issue from that time is that the car would sometimes jump out of first gear
- When you lift the bonnet, the cast aluminium cam cover is proudly on display
- The car comes with a selection of spare and disassembled parts
- It will clearly need an inspection and recommissioning before use
