She felt the probe touch her leg despite her attempt to fall back, her shock was further compound by a red flash coming from the ruby necklace. An instant later her mind was flooded with the images of her sending bolts through the bodies of jerks dressed as zombies.

Her eyes widen as more images followed upon each other. The pair of Dragon gang members laying dead on the ground. Edward and her on the bed, the floor of her bedroom, the living room....

The dots dancing through her vision slowly started to fade, until at last she could see clearly. Clearly enough to see Edward laying on his back, the remote pressing against his leg, and the gun the cop had been firing at her laying on the ground beside him.

"YOU SON OF A BITCH!"
