"Your Majesty, may I present, Senior Ranger Sidhel Lithdhen."As her escort formally introduced her, Sidhel snapped a salute and held it, with the expression on the queens face, she was guessing this was not going to be a pleasant experience. The queen just stared at her for a few second before slightly bowing her head, as the ranger moved to a formal parade rest, with her hands resting at the small of her back. Queen Ariel Silwen Elerviel tilted her head to the escort, "That will be all Ania, I desire to speak with our guest alone."
"But your Majesty," the elf started to protest before the queen held up a hand, "I'm sure than I'm in no danger from a Senior Ranger of the Republic, please leave us." Sidhel saw the escort give her an angry look before bowing and walking toward the garden entrance. Sidhel felt a little naked as the rounds to her pistol been confiscated upon arrival, not that it would've helped her. She saw the scorpion tattoo on her escort, the high and tight hair, everything about the elf signaled Special Forces. And Sidhel was certain that the woman could kick her ass from one end of the garden to the other, gun or no gun.
"So," the queen said softly, "you're the one that's been fornicating my daughters?"
Ania, glanced behind as she walked through the garden doors, she had heard the question, and was not surprised, as her contact had already given her a brief outline. What they needed was the why's and who's. Making her way swiftly around the garden walls she came to the point that she had left the queen. Glancing around, she breathed a sigh of relief that no one else was in the area. Quickly stepping between the bushes, she knelt down pulling the slim device from her pocket. Plugging in the ear piece, she then pulled the film of the sticky tape and pressed the device to the wall.
"And how did you meet my daughters?" She heard the queen clearly asking. Unplugging the earpiece, she made sure that the device was recording before she stepped back out from the bushes, her glaze told her she was still alone as she made her way back to the entrance, slowly pacing back and forth, making sure that the queen could see her.
Nodding, as Sidhel explained about meeting two elves who happened to blunder right in the middle of a surveillance, she could not help but think there was something she was missing. Nevertheless she knew better than to try to interrogate the queen. However Queen Elerviel seemed quite knowledgeable about the vision and even had her repeat what she and the princesses had planned.
Sighing the queen took a few steps, her eyes took in the rock garden in an attempt to calm herself, "And no one, you or my daughters thought to bring this so called vision to me?" She asked, but continued before allowing the ranger a chance to answer. "As it so happened, two of my scientific staff have brought this...Shortage of males to my attention. Now was that just a coincidence, or was I being manipulated?"
Taking a deep breath, Sidhel shrugged her shoulders, "I do not know your majesty, that is beyond my ability to accomplish." Letting out her own breath, the queen pinched the bridge of her nose, "You'll be happy to know then that the first part of your vision has been accomplish, both of my daughters are with child."

(Decided rather than one long text, to split this in two, with one revelation in each part. So, the Princesses are also pregnant, Sidhel has done her job at last. But what has the queen still to say?"

Called on the carpet is still called being "called on the carpet", whether its in an office or a garden. Methinks Sidhel's gonna be walking on eggs (no pun intended) for another scene or two here--as she's managed to get herself the defacto job of saving the Royal House the trouble of having heirs twice over. Makes her the problematical "Royal Consort" to Thier Royal Highnesses...

I thought she was supposed to being wearing one of those new uniforms for this thing; she still looks the same to me, except for the ropes around her arm. I stand corrected; a closer look shows it is a completly different material and style. Still, from what was said before, I'd of thought that her belly would be covered. But that Special Forces woman looks more like a Nazi between the hat, the expression, and the blouse style; she wouldn't happen to be a Purist would she?
You outta be a novelist with that talent for thickening the plot and building suspense without dragging things too much. So what is all this going to lead to, civil war? I kind of hope it does or at least to a major firefight.

I think the next part will make it much clearer who's in peril. Seemed that while many were thinking of the end, the rebuilding of the elven race. They forgot about the present politics.

That's not surprising. How many people want to be king, get the crown, and then don't know what to do with it? I see a lot of that in this sense. And I mean what I said, you should write a book or movie script.

Hehe, I had thought about it, but decided it would not go with the feel of the story and what the queen brings up about Sidhel in the next part.

Well that was the plan...least with the Princesses...Reyna, was an accident, which from the next part I hope to show that it was a serious accident.
