Reason for the Title <3 Kira has her close to him and has that determined expressionKira's face looks a little dodgy but i like how Lacus came out xD again this is one i drew a few years back <3 and again i neatened the shading and defined the lines

Dx i know, and Lacus doesn't cry very much, and i just wanted to reach into the screen and hug Athrun O.o and i think thats the only time you see Meyrin cry...is it? Yeah Kira's certainly matured, but i could still see the sadness in his eyes.
DX That would've been horrible! If Lacus got shot, i think i would've been in tears, and think about how Kira would've felt

Heheh, yep, she makes Athrun feel really awkward. She reminds him so much of Lacus, and then doesn't act like her at all. Talk about confusing!
Me too, aww, I felt so sorry for Athrun. He must feel like he should have been able to save her. He probably blames himself for not getting her away from ZAFT sooner. Poor Athrun...!
Meyrin seems to me to be the very sensitive type who might cry easily. She isn't really exposed to as much tragedy as any of the others. I think she might have been dry-sobbing a bit there after she showed such courage in saving Athrun from the guards, pretending to have been in the shower and all that. You know, that bit right before she grabbed Athrun's ankle. (Don't know why I find that part so intensely cute, but anyway~!
As for Lacus... yep, I keep thinking back to the first time I ever saw her cry, grieving for her father. I remember being so shocked to see the calm, serene figure who heals the wounds of others with her gentle songs... just fall apart and cry. It was so sad.
I think... if Lacus died... Kira would lose all of his emotions...

xD lol and Meer thought he was still engaged to the real lacus, isn't that part of the reason she clung to him so much? and he's like "eh., not anymore" xD she wasn't listening though
oh yeah i remember that scene, she fell on the floor in her towel and kinda made whimpering noises xD haha and naaw ever the gentlemen Athrun puts a bathroom gown around her, lol and yeah she grabs his ankle xD would've been hilarious if he fell on his face

Well, heheh, if I was in Meer's position, I'd pretend not to hear that bit about the engagement being off either.
O _ O Now I have to make a comic about Athrun falling on his face... In fact, he's always falling around girls. When the crab fell out of Cagalli's clothes, he slipped and landed in a puddle... When he saw Meer sleeping in his bed, he fell backwards out of the bed~~~!
Me too, I wouldn't want Lacus to die! She's awesome!

If Athrun had enough conscious thought in him, he probably would have panicked at Kira finding "Lacus" in his bed, and him unable to explain how she got there.
Oh, Cagalli isn't in any danger of dying, since Athrun will be protecting her with his life.

Wouldn't that have been fun, though? Aww, nuts, but then one of the girls would have been as badly injured as Athrun was, because I don't think he'd be able to cover both of them like he covered Meyrin to protect her from the explosion...

It wouldn't have helped to argue with Meer at that stage, anyway. Aside from the soldiers hunting Athrun and time being limited, she was breaking down. She has a classic case of, as I like to diagnose it, Copy Complex. She has no confidence in herself, and admires Lacus so much that she has to be her in order to find some self-worth. I feel really sorry for the girl.
