Description
Since the day she was born, nobody had ever seem to be happy to see her. She was always the weird one. The one who couldn’t match no matter how hard she tried thus she had stopped trying.
She never said a word to those who she did not have to talk, so she would save them their breath.
She never wore anything particularly outstanding, thus despite her skin color- green like the sin- she could be invisible in the biggest of the crowds.
People would pretend she was not there, even convince themselves that somebody like her was not possible in the real world. She was a ghost. And she never felt that she could stop being a ghost.
Ghosts did not have a particular day to celebrate that they had been born. Ghosts were not important enough for people to be happy about their existence.
That is why for Elphaba it was a great surprise when her roommate found her in the middle of the west garden, wrapped her arms around her and whispered to her ear unknown words.
She said them slowly, like if it was a secret. But Elphaba felt that they were yelled to her since she felt her head spinning.
It took her awhile to notice. A while to truly believe that Glinda had said those exact combination of words.
Just when Elphaba was about to decode the message, Glinda had repeated them and landed her soft lips on her cheek.
“Weird- the wicked one thought as she noticed her vision getting blurred- I had never heard anybody say this words to me…and mean them”
