Description A really cool robot girl who better not have been fridged in that last episode or else I’ll be so angry I’ll forget to be sad that her TV show’s been canceled.

She was definitely not fridged. She didn't die just to give Razer manpain. She died by her own choice.

All I have to say is.... keep watching....

Yeah, I know that now (I watched GLTAS every week when it was still on), but this was posted before that was revealed.

(Also she was kinda-sorta fridged anyways at the end of the series, so...)

eh, it was still her choice. her character development. She begin with wanting to be a GL. She ended from an act of a GL. putting other's before her own.

I guess it wouldn't seem as much like fridging to me if she wasn't the only female main character in the series. Also this season was particularly awkwardly cruel to female characters, with the not-revealed-until-later "deaths" of Aya and the Science Director and the actual death of the Star Sapphire girl (her name escapes me), while all the major male characters remained more or less unscathed throughout...

Ghiata. The star saphire girl's name is Ghiata.

Well, there are many males deaths through out the series. Reff Shire died in the first episode and Dulok poisoned to death. Other forms of sacrifices like Ganthed being banished for helping out our heroes. Razer and Aya are basically the main characters of the series, so if one of them had to do the sacrifice, it shouldn't really matter who. Because IMO it's not fridging. In the end, she did what she was taught in the very beginning. Putting other's before her own.

What show is this from? (I also hope she hasn't been fridged for the sheer reason that I hate that trope)

Green Lantern: The Animated Series, and after today's episode it turns out she wasn't fridged after all (though before that was revealed, another female character was killed off while all the male characters remained unharmed, so it was kind of dicey going for a while).

It's actually a really good show except for the weird issues with gender representation, since Aya's the only real recurring female character (Carol Ferris appears in a total of like five episodes) and literally 95% of the incidental female characters are all voiced by Grey DeLisle, which is just kind of awkward from a hiring standpoint since they have a wide variety of male voice actors...

Sounds fun. I may check it out when I get the time (read: when the semester ends)

She's from the show, Green Lantern: the Animated Series, which has unfortunately been cancelled.
