Description
Fayt trudged up the stairs of the castle, dodging concerned maids as he went.  It was nice of them to care, but right now he just wanted to be left alone on his walk to the daily meeting.  He sped up suddenly.  Maybe I can convince them to go back to my house for the meeting.  He slowed again.  The house is a mess…  I'd be embarrassed to bring them there.
He sighed and knocked on the door, alerting the others to his presence.  He tried to straighten up and opened the door.  He went and sat down in his usual place beside Albel and got ready for the meeting.
Albel shot out of his seat as soon as Fayt sat down.  "Stay away, fool!  You're soaking wet.  Why are you even here?"
Fayt looked over at Albel briefly before looking at his notes.  "I can't control the weather.  It's not my fault that I got caught in a torrential rain.  It was raining so hard I couldn't see and the wind was blowing me backwards.  I had a hell of a time just getting here."
"Why don't you at least change clothes?  You're leaving a puddle of water on the floor with every step you take."  Fayt looked down at his feet.  There was indeed a puddle of water around his shoes which was getting larger with each drop that fell from his soaked jeans.  He sighed.
"If I were to do that I would have to go through the rain again and get those clothes wet.  It's pointless.  I might as well stay like this."
They began the meeting.  Two hours later, Fayt was shivering.  Woltar stood up.  "Fayt, come with me."
Fayt stared at him blankly.  He knew this had something to do with him still being wet.  "I'll dry the floor before I leave, don't worry."
"Fool, that's not what the old man is worried about.  You've been shivering for the past half hour.  If you don't dry off, you'll die.  So go with him and get some clothes."
The King nodded his head.  "Indeed.  People in this land can get very sick fast if they are not diligent about their health.  The castle is drafty, despite its insulation, and you can catch cold very easily.  It's foolish to remain wet when Count Woltar is offering you dry clothes.  I suggest you take his help."
Fayt got up and nodded in Woltar's direction.  "Okay.  I'll take some clothes and a towel for my hair."
