Great focus on the tongue. A hard thing to catch if you don't know how to take a proper photo, and you seem to have accomplished more than most. Well done.

HAHA! That's how it is with my Maine Coon Mix, Diana. She can NEVER get enough of licking/grooming herself. Even if I do my part as a good mommy/owner and brush her. It's apparently not enough! But wicked awesome close up! You can see the roughness particles on his cute tongue! =^-^=

Cheers. I was playing with my new prime lens which I have fallen in love with and Garfie makes a good photo victim to harass! I dont brush him as he hates it and attacks the brush, but he doesn't get matted. I guess he has plenty of time in the day to look after it!

Heehee. I find it quite odd with my kitties. Diana has long stunning fur like Garfie, she's ALWAYS and almost constantly grooming herself. She doesn't get ANY mats in her fur nor does she get hairball problems...My Onyx on the other hand. Has short fur. Does a good deal of grooming, not nearly as much as Diana. Gets mats, mainly and mostly on the bottom lower half of her back and dear Onyx get Hairball coughs quite often...I mean I know all kitties are different but you would think a kitty with long fur would have these issues ALLOT more than a short fured kitty...heh
