A few weeks ago, my Mormon boyfriend and I went on a 100 mile adventure around northeastern Ohio. One of our “stops” was the Kirtland Temple and Joseph Smith’s home. The church offers free tours of his house and, though it was open, we did not stop in. The reason? My boyfriend wasn’t feeling like a worthy Mormon that day.
