Personality:
Melody is very kind, almost to a fault. Ponies in the Crystal Empire sometimes take advantage of her kindness, and she doesn't really mind...sometimes she does, and when that happens, watch out!
Her family is very big, but mostly to the fact that her parents divorced. She has three step-sisters, and one younger brother. She is the oldest out of all of them, so she finds, in her mind, that she has to help all of them and be kind to them, even when her morals are compromised.

How she gained her cutie mark?: She gained it while singing a song that other ponies were singing, and she found that she loved it after ponies applauded her. A purple songbird appeared on her flank.
