Trying to tighten my colors and lines up. Drew this on watercolor paper so I could make a more atmospheric background but it may have been too subtle.Related content

Oh, its still markers actually. This one is on watercolor paper so it gave it a different look.
The paper has more "tooth" as they call it, when paper is bumpier.

The smoother paper is what I usually use. So, I suppose its just the texture you can see in this drawing.
Usually, I try not to bring attention to the texture of the paper, which is common for marker drawings and illustration.
