Requested by my mom, this is a painting of my old friend. Lucky loved the holidays, Christmas was his favorite. His last Christmas was no exception. Even though he was fighting the last stages of kidney disease, he was still super happy and into the festivities. She wanted a painting that captured that, and I tried my best to achieve that with this. He always wore his brown bow tie at Christmas proudly, so I thought it would be fitting to depict him in it!

Like all images of my old friend, if anybody would like to purchase a print of this, ALL proceeds will go to local charities that help animals. For this image, half will go to Medicine Hat's Ridge Veterinary Clinic's "The Bear Essentials" and half will go to Medicine Hat's no-kill shelter Persian Dreams and Canine Themes.
