Character: Ekaterina "Katja" KuraeSeries: Seikon no Qwaser
My first cosplay. Worn to Mini Animania March 2010. I had never sewn prior to this, so I'm happy with the way it turned out. I may redo it one day when I has moar skillz.

It's a pretty awesome series right! Though I haven't read the manga since I cosplayed her, and I never seen much of the anime but I really do enjoy this series XD
Her skirt is actually very simple, it's just a rectangle, about 3 or so times longer than my waist. For the length of the skirt you will need to allow a bit more room so that when it bubbles it's not too short. There is elastic in the top and bottom seams, with the top elastic the size of my waist and the bottom one about the same if not a bit smaller. That's how you get the bubble effect :3
Also, add the white on before feeding the elastic through~

I only got up to about ch 24 I think it was, but I haven't kept up to date with it. How many seasons of the anime is there?
Oh! Yeah! Sorry, I completely forgot that part. I ruffled together netting, though I wouldn't recommend that material cos it's very hard and scratched my legs Dx Maybe something like tule which is a bit softer, gather that together than attach it to the skirt before you put the elastic in. That will help keep the puffiness
It will need to be a little more gathered than the actual skirt part though to keep it looking full.

Yeah it's pretty borderline LOL. I'm sure it'd be great in the anime, I do love the manga though. I've only seen bits with Katja/Tomo/Teresa and one bit with Eva Q & Eva R (as I was going to cosplay Eva Q, just never got around to it).

Yeah I know her x3 I'd read ever chapter of Qwaser that was out at the time of me cosplaying her. She's definitely my favourite character from that series~ XD

Nuh I took a couple more photos with *beethy , and our Tomo and I also had a mini photoshoot with *KrisEz and *Quake-And-Bake . Those pictures were from Mini Animania (Sydney) in March 2010. I also rewore this costume to Anime Evolution (Vancouver) in August 2010. So there'll be a few photo's floating around, this is just the only one I have uploaded to my dA.
