Since when did I gain this new perspectiveRealizing that life is so much longer
Than just yesterday and today
I guess I took another step into maturity
Gaining the knowledge that maybe he won't be there tomorrow
But I will be there

I will not take anyone's bull shit anymore
I will think about the future and what I want to do and be

I will choose my friends wisely and stand strong
Stand stronger than what they anticipated
I will work hard until my hands bleed and my brow sweats
I will love so hard my heart bursts and grows a few times bigger
I will speak until my throat is raw
And I will be as silent as the shadows in the dark
You will see me one day
And then you will look back on this day
And everyone will acknowledge how strong I became
And how strong I stayed
Some god gave me two feet to stand on
And a brain to think with freely
And I will use them until the day I return to the earth
