Overall

Vision

Originality

Technique

Impact

The message here is loud and clear, professionalism is gorge filled with pitfalls and loose gravel.

As far as technique, (and admittedly this is just personal opinion) I think this could use more fleshing out, perhaps a bit finer tooling to create a more realistic backdrop or texturing the ground a bit more.

However, I also understand that the point of comics is to have the characters be the main focus. You could also include a panel before hand showing how the main character decided to go from Hobbyland to Professionaland rather than just saying he's ready.

With your Originality, you could use different shapes other than just squares and triangles for the layout of your piece (excluding the last panel). Just something to think about. And to be completely honest, it looks like another generic web comic with a ting of personality.

Hope that was helpful.

Thank you, and to be fair being a generic webcomic was my intention. It's a tricky situation about putting much details and technical work into a webcomic when most was able to make it with an extremely simple form. At the end it's a media that favors simplicity and relatability over quality.

Agreed, but don't pigeon hole yourself if you get a bigger audience. Eventually the public wants something different. Though I must admit, you're story structure is very good, and probably the most important thing when it comes to comics.

Competition is more like a huge ass monster shark that swims in all that with you. Also there is no other side; your just treading water forever. Good luck,

THAT'S a pretty deep canyon, maybe go back to Hobbyland and see if anyone has a hobby for building bridges!

Tbh I want to be a manga artist but, told that it isn’t a job (but only in japan) but now it will be my hobby (my mom and sis couldn’t told me that in the first place) in fact I want to be musician singer, animator for youtube also (pretty sure that being a youtuber is a job I think) but more honestly I seen alot of this brutal honest on youtube (make me wonder why they do that)

(Hope this doesn’t offend you or anything sorry I get apologetic these days)

Doing a webcomic is a great alternative to being actual comic artist these days. You can easily do it from anywhere.

You can do Youtube as a hobby too but it will be hard to gain traction. You need to commit to a specific niche that has not been filled yet and upload regularly. For example, there are many vlog animation channels in Youtube, so you need to find other things to add in order to stand out.

Musicnotemanga In reply to RadenWA [2018-02-19 07:26:06 +0000 UTC]

Actually I seen a lot of meme animations and stuff including fanimations like game grumps, markiplier or anykind (even mlp animation also yes I’m a brony) but I want to do like animation series for youtube and also manga series also (got everything ready but need to know how to draw like you tbh)

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

RadenWA In reply to Musicnotemanga [2018-02-19 16:23:08 +0000 UTC]

you don't even need my level of skill to make popular animation these days. Most animations in Youtube are stickman, chibi and lineart-only level anyways.

RadenWA In reply to Koza-san [2018-02-14 19:26:41 +0000 UTC]

fun fact, the moment something becomes a job, it will not be as enjoyable anymore.

So even if you can draw as a "job"...you prolly won't be happy either. There's just so much stuff you need to deal with then.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

iriscilla In reply to RadenWA [2018-03-03 10:08:11 +0000 UTC]

This is why I never went to study art, I was scared it would turn into a chore and I'd start hating it. Then I regretted it because with it I would be probably much further and now I'm envious of artists younger than me who produce better stuff (but that's my fault for not practising enough, I believe). But I'm also proud that I discovered everything myself. Eh, humans are hard to please.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

RadenWA In reply to iriscilla [2018-03-04 05:24:33 +0000 UTC]

Personally I don't think art school helps that much, the strongest force really is motivation and commitment. Those younger artists get there faster because they're committed to a single thing. Everything that helps you becomes better can be found easily and quickly with internet these days, all you need is the motivation to do it and commitment to keep going.

iriscilla In reply to RadenWA [2018-03-04 21:45:22 +0000 UTC]

Ah, that's what I thought. I have seen opinions as that self taught people are not that worthy but now I think it was only envy speaking. Imo it can be quite the opposite, though I have seen that people improved a lot when they attended an art school. But yeah, the school itself probably isn't the main factor but their motivation is.

iriscilla In reply to Koza-san [2018-03-03 10:10:29 +0000 UTC]

I think it's better to get a normal job you at least somewhat like, you will still earn more there than with art from the start. You can do art as a hobby on the side and if you improve a lot and people will start throwing money at you then you can maybe slowly switch to full time art if you find out it's what you want. That's at least my plan.

maybe a good way to think would be would you ratherΒ

Not enjoy your job but still enjoy your hobby

or

Do your hobby as a job and thus you enjoy it less.
