Oh dang man...is this really another of my school doodles....did I really got some spare times back then to have made this?But yeah...I managed to force myself to finish one of my project faster, and I also managed to convince my teacher that I don't need any more additional development on my work, so I got a good amount of spare time to awake my mind and do this.
Back then pencils weren't really appealing in my eye, so I made this with the grayscale copic markers I just happen to have. This itself was made in one of the scraps peeled off from jackpapers.
Regardless, it's quite a good potrait of Leon, given this' the first time I grayscale sketch using copic markers...

This is awesome.
I think that some markers are usually really hard to do rendered character artwork with like this. The tones from the photo looks like you handled it very skillfully.
I haven't tried using Copic pens properly before since they're really expensive. Bought like only 5 coloured ones before just to try them out for interest back then and didn't quite work out... but they were definitely good though.
Was really great to see this and liking all the tones : )

I guess I should give you a rough idea then, I got the 5 Copic pens for around $15. Depending on which Copic pen you're using, I think from what I seen, each pen ranges from $3 to over $7 each.
They're mainly aiming for professional type of illustrating and design pens, and since you are going along illustrations, if you'll be incorporating them alot, it will cost.

........expensive? Well can't say much. We've been prompted to spend over 600$ for art supplies by the start of the class and these was included inside them.
