Midterm Part 1, 12x18 in size, and done solely with graphite. The directions were to pick a theme and draw something you see from two different, opposing perspectives, and as such, I chose people - two individuals together in the first piece, one alone in the other.

The big things for me on this piece was the clothing - that's where I spent the most time on. I was rushed so I only spent about 10 minutes on the face. After I got the basic sketch of everything down, this thing was a total blast to draw and shade. I've always dreaded drawing clothes in the past, so this was a big accomplishment on my part. I see now how fun it actually is. ^_^

You might notice the difference in paper texture from my normal pictures. That's because I've been using 12x18 acrylic paper, which is significantly more thick, durable, and textured (which turned out amazing for the jeans' fabric). It's also off-white/lightly tan in color, something I tried to bring back via edits. I might tweak this a bit in the future.

I took 18 hours to complete this, counting only the time spent working on this.
