Description The eleventh Doctor as Oberon, River Song as Titania, Strax as Puck and Clara as the changeling. This is obviously crack.

‘Ill met by moonlight, proud Titania.’
‘We’re on Avalon, there’s no moon, idiot, but six satellites.’
‘I know, but I can’t convincingly say ill met by Astra-Pixus-forgot-the-rest-of-their-names-light.’
‘That’s Astra & Pixus? I thought by this time of the year it was Ery and Orgon rising at night.’
‘No, no. River, you’re spoiling everything. Give me the changeling!’
‘Please, don’t call me changeling, Doctor. I agreed to be miniaturized, it’s embarrassing enough.’
‘Sorry, Clara! Strax, what are you doing?’
‘Sir, I regret to inform you the effects of your lambizer are wearing off and my expression soon will be going back to normal.’
‘Oh no, that’s too bad, Puck. Anyway, you’re still doing an excellent job with the helpless clutching.’
‘I hate to disappoint you, Sir, but I am helplessly clutching. The wind machine Dr. Song set up is a tad too efficient.’
‘Clara, you’re undressing me, stop that, I know it’s not the wind.’
‘Well, I have to get something in return for dressing up, haven’t I?’

Outline with a pencil, colours with GIMP.

*grins* Thank you so much!
No, I do not have a tablet; for the digital colouring I arm myself with a mouse and patience. The possibilities are interesting though!

Really, thank you for your enthusiasm!

Oh wow... My mouse is utter poop so my digital colouring is slightly pathetic. Curse you, fill bucket! *hangs head in shame* But I do love my coloured pencils.

You are so welcome! Thank YOU for sharing such wonderful joy with the world!

My digital colouring is lazy at best... But everything looks better on a computer screen. Coloured pencils are great! I really like traditional colouring, especially watercolours, but scanners do awful things to them. I should try to photograph them.

You're just too nice, stop it.

There's just something about pixels that blends so much more cleanly, I think. I love my pencils! It gives me something to do in class when discussion time comes round. Ooo scanners... *glares at scanner* I couldn't get by without it, but it drives me nuts sometimes. *is decidedly not much of a photographer*

Aww... do I have to? Here! If you're going to make me stop at least take this!

The fact that it's the Doctor and River is just brilliant--but aside from that, I like your design of Oberon and Titania. I was in Midsummer this past fall, and as astounding as our costume director was, the fairy design we used just didn't sit well with me. Love yours, though. Well done!

Thank you for your nice comment!
I take no credit for the costumes though, they are greatly inspired by the ones created for the 1935 WB version of Midsummer Night's Dream with a zest of Botticelli - I wanted to add a mythical antique touch.
The fairy design often is a problem, on stage or in films, whether you see them as beautiful and fairytale figures or as darker and more primitive allegories.

Thank you so much! I think much of the credit must go to the 1930's Warner Bros costume department...
