South Australia, driest state on the second driest continent!
I plan on moving to Ireland when I can
But it is beautiful country when we've had some rain.

Moving from the driest state to the green land must be soul food for you. Am I right? Iguess that the rain brings the green grass on your photo? Seeing it I can't imagine that it is taken in the driest state of Australiea.

Yep, I've been to Ireland twice and each time I fell more in love with it!
The rain was indeed the reason for the green grass, we had a really wet spring last year it does rain in Winter and a bit of Spring, but it is the driest state. The driest continent is Antarctica by the way! Australia is second driest but in the north they get a lot of tropical storms

You lucky one!
I like to see Ireland one day too. Exspecially the coast.
Was it there in the north where a storm have destroied so much?

RadishStick In reply to Kospero [2011-08-23 12:21:41 +0000 UTC]

In the North there are often cyclones/hurricanes, which bring horrific storms. At the beginning of the year pretty much a quarter of Australia seemed to be flooded due to heavy rain/storms/hurricanes, so that's probably what you're thinking of.
Everywhere in Ireland is beautiful, the coast and the mountains and the lakes

Are they similar to the hurricanes in America? We didn't hear as much from australia here in europe than we do hear in the news from storms in America. Sometimes it's a little bit like australia doesn't exists
There must be a huge thing happen in australia to get into the news.

The hurricanes up north are tropical, they come with heavy rain and floods as well as wind. I don't know if that's similar to the ones in America or not, you tell me!
Nawwww poor Australia! W're bigger than Europe and we still get ignored! Probably cos not much happens here apart from natural disasters. No wars, at least!
Yeah you would've heard about the floods early this year on the news, but that's about it. Am I right?
