Okay several things I have a problem with about the sword for one how is the cross card supposed to work two the tassels I have a problem with the tassels or the tail or whatever it is on the end of that please say that it can come off because if it can't it's probably going to get wrapped around something and he's going to be easily disarmed and the cross guard I also have a problem with you can't really maneuver with it very well. but overall it's a good drawing and I do like your art style is very good and I do like everything about it it's just the sword oh geez things wrong with it but overall the drawings really good it's just scientifically and according to physics and stuff like that it's not the most practical thing in the world I'm sorry to say but it's not

I appreciate the advice you're giving and I understand your problems with weapons'Β physics.
But there is something you should know:
-The cross guard was design to have a dragon theme on it. Without any dragon ecstatic, the sword would just look like a standard Scimitar or a Falchion that looks vibrant red. Plus, just because something looks big doesn't mean it look heavy.
-Those are tassels, some swords have those accessories, most notably the Chinese sword or sometimes Scimitar. it gives out a flow of dragon feel. Like how you swing a sword, you'll see a dragon flying around it.Β
The rest of your complaint are agreeable, obviously no one wants to handle that kind of cross guard. But never apply laws of physics in it, especially in cartoons.
I've seen Skallagrim's video about fantasy weapon and it was understandable.Β
Nevertheless, fantasy weapons are design to be ridiculous to show how powerful. Ecstatic over physics. Otherwise, a powerful LV100 weapon is just look the same as a lv1 weapon.

I don't care about the look okay I think the sword looks great but some moves have you resting your wrist on the cross guard and if you accidentally rested your wrist on one of the spines on the back of that dragon's neck that's not going to feel too good and I'm just trying to give people pointers on if they want to and I might use Shad's words in this but if you want to make weapons in a RPG usable in real life I'm just giving people cleaners on what's wrong with the sword and stuff like that they don't have to take my advice it's just a suggestion

It's not in look it's in practicality and the physics of it the blade is fine there are many curved blades that do quite well take the fashion for example that seems like the type of Blade it is the cross guard oh the cross guard that's the thing that I have a problem is it looks good don't get me wrong sword looks good I'm not talking and look I'm talking in how the physics and how you would maneuver it with how do you balance weight what weight is it to weedy for you to use and it looks like the cross guard would be not the best cross card in the world that isn't going to Bloxorz very much I'm sorry but it's not really going to do that a traditional cross guard is very handy well because it was used to catch weapons and protect the user's hand that cross guard isn't going to do that

Yeah don't get me wrong it's a good-looking sword I like the look of it from an ARTISTS standpoint but from a scientific standpoint it sucks I want I'm sorry to say but it does but it's not alone if you look at other fantasy swords they mostly have the same problems their blade is either too big or they're cross guard is too huge and elaborate so fantasy swords are better Suited for DISPLAY WEAPONS not practical everyday kind of use weapons or what a regular citizen back then would carry around with them

I would highly recommend checking out shadiversity and skallagrim I think that's how you spell it I don't know but I would recommend you check out those two YouTube channels if you want to get further into the practicality and stuff like that of swords especially skallagrim he reviews different types of swords but if you want to get further into this I highly recommend checking out those two channels my favorite out of the two is shadiversity cuz he covers more than swords he covers medieval weaponry medieval Warfare fantasy ect.

Not to mention he looks like he's using a two-handed grip as a one-handed sword which also is a detriment to that leaves extra grip out to be caught on something and you could be disarmed dead if you are in a real sword fight

THHP In reply to THHP [2018-09-15 05:39:34 +0000 UTC]
Not to mention it's more of a detriment because it has spikes and I could see Gumball impaling his wrist on one of those spikes or doing something to hurt himself with one of those spikes not very useful

And the lake horse hair tail thing at the end pet could get cut on so many things and caught on so many things Gumball would be able to be disarmed very quickly

It's supposed to be in a RPG (Role Playing Game). Since the designs of fantasy RPGs are usually logically and physically impossible and they just look cool and awesome (sometimes complicated). Especially Japanese RPGs.

I get that I'm just giving some advice for people who want to make an RPG but are also thinking of making things a little bit more historically accurate and physically accurate if you want to go check this out please go check out an awesome YouTube channel called shadiversity I also heard he had an account on here too if you want to go check him out
