Description
Charcoal Feather 's Mitya suddenly traveled to the 21st Century and in turn encountered a young man at his age, sharing the same first name!!
"Where am I actually?" After fallen into coma, Mitya gains consciousness once again. A vast blue sky, with several passing cumulus clouds enters his eyes...
Surrounding him is a remote coast: pine trees, sea breezes and a glittering white beach... Mitya is utterly astonished with the scenic views, as hardly encountering the sea throughout his life, he stretches and ventures around. It's a crisp, windy November day, wild strands escape from his primly combed hair as he's standing on the path. Aside few pedestrians, the coast is simply an isolated world of its own. While he is gazing at the lush pine woods, a 10 year old girl in a miniskirt hops by. Horrified with the immodest attire of the 21st Century (he isn't aware of this), then mild angst has rushed into his mind.
"How shameless this lady is... And where has her parents gone?" It is already the prelude of the peculiar travel to the coast.
Not far from Mitya, a 17-year-old boy in a long military coat stands in solitary, focusing on the waves washing on the beach. Mitya sprints towards the coast, investigating why the boy is so concentrated in the scenery. "There should be something special over there..." Mitya murmurs to himself, but trips over by a pebble.
"Ouch!!!"
"Are you alright?"
The 17-year-old boy is actually Agent #91, aka a elemental hero of Protactinium. "Be careful, are you alright and may I help you?" Mitya kindly smiles towards the stranger, but his gaze instantly switches to insecurity. He almost recognises the boy as an officer of the opposition camp.
"Everything seems a bit uncanny, why am I encountering one in an unknown coast? I reckon I've never visited a place like here."
Mitya's inner courage has persuaded him talking to the unknown boy.
"Why do you find the sea so intriguing? And ever tried swimming in it?"
"The sea's boundless and it stretches far from the horizons. It provides us a limitless space for imagination, it's stunningly beautiful but underlined with uncertainty... There have been legends and true stories of failed adventures. On one hand symbolises deep unknowns and risks; if you're an optimist you'll say it's all about hope and new opportunities. To cut it short, the sea is a symbolism of future," the boy continues " Well, sadly I can't swim (laughs) and pretty afraid of swimming in the wild. A friend of mine often swim near beaches even during shivering days (Actinium)..."
"Future? It's not heaven, I'm not dead yet!! And what an interesting story you've shared." Mitya whispers to himself "and I'm Dmitri Mayakov!"
"My name's Dmitri Mazurkiewicz! Sincerely a pleasure to meet you. (Smiles)"
"What a coincidence of us bearing the same first name!"
"Mayak... To be honest I'm pretty sick of called as "Dmitri with ginger hair" as our names are far too common, or Dmitri the Belarusian! I'm originally from Minsk and almost every year I spend my summers with my relatives there. What a meaningful surname you have, it means a light tower or beacon shining over the sea!" Element 91 writes down the encounter inside his little brown journal, with "My Footsteps in 2015" on the cover. The duo leans towards the lookout, focusing on the cerulean sea. The boys are discussing their dreams and plans in future.
"Is it now 2015!? Wait am I trapped into the future after 93 years?" Mitya then appears very confused, when he glances on the notebook.
Meanwhile Mitya is feeling he's floating gradually in the mid air, golden glitter then fleets over him... Within a glance Mitya's image fades as he's surrounded by a brilliant aura.
"I still have a million of dreams yet to come to reality... It's not the ultimate end..." Mitya leaves his last message and then vanishes under sunshine "it's just the very beginning..."
"Mitya, Mitya!!!!" Holding a striped necktie as a memento, Dmitri prospects into the sky and leaves a prayer to his new friend. He wishes wholeheartedly a prosperous life to Mitya, however soon discovers he's no longer in the world...
