Description Another picture from the golden age serie. Its a project of my friend and I think Ill do more. Small american town in 50's after the people left it. Its a melancholic\romantic mood, so a bit unusual for me.

This is my favorite one. Looks a lot like my father's parents' backyard. An ideal setting of the imagination.

it instantly reminded me - for some odd reason, as it refers to a different historical period - of the description that the Canterville ghost gave to the graveyard:

'Far away beyond the pine woods,' he answered, in a low dreamy voice, 'there is a little garden. There the grass grows long and deep, there are the great white stars of the hemlock flower, there the nightingale sings all night long. All night long he sings, and the cold, crystal moon looks down, and the yew-tree spreads out its giant arms over the sleepers.'

it must be that melancholic/romantic mood you mentioned.

that's beautiful. I was inspired by a old English graveyard in Horsham where I lived.

The atmosphere is warm, romantic and reminds of forgotten days. The dark elements in the corner of the image lead the viewers attention towards the better lit elements from the center.
The detail level is again impressive and I like the way you combined all these elements into a unitary image.

I look forward to your next deviations

This scene is the ideal place to be when you want to isolate yourself and just take in the beauty that nature has to offer. This is beautifully painted and wonderfully illustrates a world away from civilization; one that is calming and brings about peaceful thoughts. Truly excellent! Great work!
