I did this yesterday to submit to my state fair for the art portion, it seems like I have been entering a lot of contests lately XD. I did an earlier version of this when I first started sculpting, and when I compare those two I really saw how much I improved, and I improved a lot . I painted golden sparkle paint on the wings to make them look like they were dusted with gold, but the camera seems to just hate showing it. The treasure pile is made up of a large assortment of golden glass beads and white gemstones meant to look like pearls and diamonds. And there is also a silver crown with pink gemstones in the pile too. Now, for those of you that don't know, Smaug is a character from J.R.R Tolkien's book "The Hobbit" and has in his possession an object called the Arkenstone, you can spot it curled up in Smaug's tail.

EDIT: I entered this and the Spring Gardening Dragon into the Iowa State Fair and won first place in the junior category. I even got a trophy!
