Description I have made posts about the legend of Zelda before, but this is the first time I will be introducing my first of mainly two OCs themed off of possibly one of my favorite games that I’ve ever played.

The tropes of these two characters may be common, but I’ve done my best to flesh out these characters to try and sound more unique. Starting off, we have my Zora hybrid named Aquamarine.

There was once a female Zora who grew attached to a Hylian man. The two ended up, falling in love and having a child. At the time of her birth, the war that had spread across Hyrule, one that had already claimed the lives of many and had left a permanent mark on the land, left her parents fearful of the dangers of the world. So, to protect her, in the event of their death, or another tragedy similar to the one that many had lived through in the years prior, Aquamarine’s parents had gifted her a magical jewel with the same name, blessed from the powers of the great fairies themselves.

This gem gifted aquamarine, the ability of Hydro-kinesis, and over the years, she’d practice and train throughout her life, to master her abilities and see how far she could push her new powers. Through unknown events, both of her parents were lost only a few years into her life. Aquamarine inherited most of her appearance from her mother. However, there were a few obvious things that she inherited from her father. For example, she was able to grow hair similar to humans, her eyes also resembled Hylian father with some color hints related to her mother.

Seen as an abomination for her different appearance, aquamarine was an outcast amongst the only side of her she knew. And without her parents to keep her company, she didn’t have any friends. One day, she snuck out to the back of the domain, where the Guardian, god of the Zora, Lord Jabu Jabu, sat with an empty gaze under the bright sun. Aquamarine, hesitantly approached and bowed to it. After a while, she found herself talking with the gentle giant. It didn’t seem bothered by her appearance or her presence, so she continue to talk. Forming a possibly one-sided bond with the whale like creature. This continued for quite a while. Her visiting Lord Jabu Jabu in secret, and doing her best to avoid the royal family for fear of being punished for sneaking here and “disturbing him”.

Of course, she was eventually caught. However, the king kindly allowed her to continue visiting him, and to even keep him company. She even was given the responsibility of feeding him whenever the royal family was busy. Aquamarine also became at least basic level friends with the princess due to how often she interacted with the king. And until link shows up, she spends a lot of her day, demonstrating her powers and singing for Jabu Jabu.

Sorry that the story was so long, but I do hope that it was entertaining. I look forward to sharing my next OC once the picture is finished. I also am considering making a comic with these two interacting with link throughout the canonical story of ocarina of time. I already have a lot on my plate though, so it’ll likely take quite a long time. I look forward to sharing more art with you all!
