I just drew it out in GIMP, with four slightly different frames and animated it by saving it as a gif.

It's totally free and it's very much like Photoshop. GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) can be downloaded and used, even when you aren't linked to the web, and is compatible with tablet drawing devices and can use .psd files from photoshop just as well.

I use it as my main means of art and editing, followed by MSPaint and then actually drawing things out.

You can even take files made in other programs and edit them in GIMP to have transparencies or hue changes or whatever (a lot of which takes a bit of time to learn how, as most of what I know about it is from dabbling with it over the years), and it's a great alternative to Photoshop if you either don't have the money, or want something a bit simpler to use but loaded with most the features.

I've been using this since 2003, so I've got quite a loyalty to it.

You can get the latest stable version here: www.gimp.org/ (But I still use one of the versions (2.6.11) before that, as I did not take to the retooling very well, as they changed a bit of it and I got confused. But since you haven't tried it, I suppose it wouldn't bother you as easily)

aahh ok thx i'll try it out. thank you so much for replying to me i'm seriously one of your biggest fans. By the way i'm working on a fanfiction,it's called Empress and mephiles is in it. idk when i'll post it but hopefully it will be relatively soon i hope you enjoy it. thx for the tips

Well, first I made the first frame, which was one of the ones with the open hands. Copy and pasted it, then copied a section of the arms, erased all but the needed parts, redrew some of it, and joined it where I needed on the next layer, tweaking it a bit. Same with the legs. Then I did the same with the ears, quills, fur and whatever else, then copied both frames, and altered them a little again... Shade the eyes and rings...

The part that drives me crazy is the stray pixels I may miss sometimes. XD

I also made a basic outline of the stance pose in that stick figure way before starting, so I have something to start on, since I usually doodle the stick figure head circle first, but almost always make the first line for the outlines in the snout, so I can build the face around that. XD

Originally, I wanted to make it like he was battle worn, and then just change into his crystal form... but that's a bit complicated...

So he's just just annoyed and trying to keep from losing his cool... hence the clenching hands, the half closed eye, the folded ears, and the bristling quills...

Well, he's 3ft 3in tall, and I'm 5ft 9 3/4 in tall... So I have hieght advantage.

He's estimated to be about 75 lbs, so that's simple to overpower as well.

His powers are the thing you need to worry about, because he seems to warp out of areas, warp other people out of area, send energy bursts... But if you can null that, he's less dangerous than a puppy, because his close range defense and attack sucks, and he relies so much on his abilities that he never focused on the attributes that lack in some areas. He can't bite, his actual punch ability is speculated to be that of an angry five year old, and he seems to only power up when he's ticked off, so he's basically having a tantrum at that point...

Oh, and depending on which game story/episode you're on, he's about 10 years old, and rather inexperienced in attacking...

It's the time warp and energy bursts I'd be worried about...

But, why be fluffy if you don't want to draw attention like that?
